E48-32 is the DStv error code for ‘no satellite signal reaching the decoder’. It almost always points to a problem outside the decoder β at the dish, the LNB or the cable in between.
Start by restarting the decoder: unplug the power for 60 seconds and plug it back in. About 1 in 5 E48 errors clear on a clean reboot.
Next, check the cable. Look for a disconnected or kinked coaxial cable behind the decoder. Tighten the F-connector with your fingers β not pliers.
If you have a second TV with Extra View and it also says E48, the problem is at the dish. Common culprits: a misaligned dish after wind, a damaged LNB after a storm, or a corroded cable join outdoors.
If you’ve checked all the easy items, it’s time to call an accredited installer. Realignment takes about 30 minutes with a proper meter; an LNB swap is similar. Lightning damage may require a full LNB and decoder replacement.
